My name is Christina, and I've been training with Andrew at Calvary Temple since May of last year. I'd like to congratulate you for taking the time to read my testimony because it means you care about yourself and want to learn how exercise will help you accomplish better health. Whatever the reason may be for you, whether it's an issue of weight, need for more energy, endurance, better circulation, or maybe it's a combination of these, the list goes on and on.
For me it was all of the above. I'm 38 years old, married 18 years and I have two children. Now somewhere along the way I forgot about myself. I allowed myself to become so busy with raising a family, keeping a home, working full time, and finishing a degree, and left no room for myself. Sound familiar?
Soon I didn't like the person I saw in the mirror because she was a reflection of self neglect, and the overweight, the loss of energy, no longer enjoying outings with my family was proof of this.
A couple of years ago I literally cried out "ENOUGH!" But crying wasn't enough. I had to attach action to this. I talked myself into... OK I kicked and screamed myself into going to the gym and slowly with the help of my trainers and there nutritional and exercise programs I've reached many of my health goals. I've dropped much of the weight (25 lbs) I'd been struggling with, lowered my body fat percentage, toned up, and my energy level? I can outrun my 14 year old son.
I'd like to go on and on but I don't want to take up your time. I do however want to thank Andrew for being not only a knowledgeable trainer, but also very caring and passionate about his work. He would call to give a word of encouragement such as "Christina, how are you doing?" "What did you eat today?" "Don't forget to drink water!" Or he'd have me doing push ups, lunges or sit-ups and just when I thought I couldn't do anymore he'd say "one more for Jesus, come on!" This served as a catalyst for me to keep up with my goal. So I leave you with this.
Every morning before I walk out the door to go to work, as most of us do we look in the mirror to make sure our hair is in place, our clothes are lint free etc. I have to admit I take an extra glance because I now love the person in the mirror she is no longer a reflection of self neglect but of self love, and that's ME! Hope to see you in the gym.
Thank you for your time!
